Merry Christmas Everybody! Chana Claus here, resting after a busy night of chasing reindeer around! :o) Hollywood still has not sent any money for our "Donkey Dynasty" show? That's okay, our reality is much more important than those goofy millionaires on TV. May the Light & Love & Peace & Joy of Our Savior abide in your heart always
Merry Christmas to all! Hi, I'm Chana Claus (Lake Nowhere Chana) star of "Donkey Dynasty" The new smash hit show about a blue collar working man struggling to fulfill his dream of raising heritage American jackstock. Not an eccentric millionaire pretending to be backwoods, but a real person that has to go to WORK, pay for insurance & everybody else's entitlements, & raise donkeys on top of that. Spend time with me, Chana, as I graze, itch, roll in the dirt spa, & "help" daddy work at D Cross D Donkey Farm! Love, Chana
Merry Christmas! I have never seen an episode of Duck Dynasty. Something about paying for television seems wrong to me. From an "outsiders" viewpoint, I find it odd that anyone cares to make these strange, eccentric millionaires richer. We have a warped society. I have a proposal. I will agree to become rich making episodes of "Donkey Dynasty". The donkeys agree to be cute and awesome, & to help me. My needs are simple, & I can't wait to do countless good with all the excess money. Pictured is our newest, youngest, big donkey: Lake Nowhere Chana. She has decided that she will be the star of "Donkey Dynasty"! She calls herself Chana Claus when wearing the santa hat. Until Hollywood decides to pay me, and Nashville takes me up on a record deal for a "Donkey Dynasty Christmas" CD. I will simply blog.
We let our very own facebook celebrity: PEPPER DONKEY, pick the winner out of the hat! We are pleased to announce that LEE BLAKE won! Lee is ASStro's human mommy! Astro is a beautiful Mammoth jack. Thank you so much to all who entered the contest! Happy Halloween! Big apology to Lee, I had mistakenly listed her as ASStro's human papa.....I'm so sorry! :o)
Jack O'Lantern, our standard jack, brayed that I should give away an orange & black D Cross D Donkey Farm hat for Halloween. Just for fun! This give away is for the US only, we love our international friends, but I'm too busy to learn all the ins & outs of shipping all over the world, and cannot handle the expense. You must be on my administrator list as having "liked" the D Cross D Donkey Farm page on facebook. Once you comment on the D Cross D Donkey Farm page, explaining how donkeys or mules have enhanced your life, your name will be place in this very hat! Midnight October 2oth, the contest will end, and a name will be randomly drawn out of the hat. The winner will be posted to the page, message your address, and this hat will be sent to you! Good Luck! We are looking forward to hearing about how longears have enriched y'alls lives!
Lake Nowhere Rhesa will be meeting & greeting her public at the Tractor Supply Company: "Out Here With Animals" event. Come on out to the Tractor Supply Store , located at 14151 W. Newberry Road, NEWBERRY, FL, 32669. For all us locals this is the one at Jonesville! :o) Rhesa will be representing the American Mammoth Jackstock breed of donkey. She is not quite a year old and a delightful critter! The only American breed of donkey, mammoths are listed as "threatened" by the ALBC, numbering about 2500. The event is from 8AM to 4PM. We plan on having her there from 8 till 2. Come on out & meet Rhesa tomorrow!
We are thankful that The Good Lord has sent the rain. That being said, we wish we could share our bounty with those of y'all that really need some. I'm thinking of teaching the donkeys water ballet, or perhaps how to use a boogie board! Every hoof step is now accompanied by the sound of suction in the mud. This field has not held water since the four back to back hurricanes in 2004.
"Doot, doot, doot, lookin' out my back door!"
This past week the herd got their vaccines, and this morning their pedicures. All the donkeys did super, & made me proud today!
Rhesa likes to check on "her" humans often, so the screen on the back porch door suffers! Lol
The rain has put a stop to todays plans, grateful for the rain don't get me wrong!
Rhesa our ambASSador for the American Mammoth Jackstock breed!
Saturday July 7th, we took Lake Nowhere Rhesa to the 2012 Florida Donkey and Mule Expo in Webster, Florida. The event was sponsored by the Florida Donkey and Mule Association and hosted by M & M Show Horses. Rhesa enjoys her role as donkey diva & "spokesperson" for the American Mammoth Jackstock breed. The expo was wonderful. Donkeys and Mules were well represented as well as lots of good cheer from the folks that brought them to the event!
